Account and Personal Data Deletion
To delete your Muslim Bro account, it is enough to send an email to privacy@muslimmate.app with the subject line "Delete account". That is enough for us to process your request under Apple and Google requirements.
A single email to privacy@muslimmate.app with subject "Delete account" is enough. No separate form is required.
1. How to request deletion
- Email privacy@muslimmate.app.
- Use the subject line: "Delete account".
- Wait for a reply from our support team.
If you want to help us identify the account faster, you may also add your registered email address or phone number, but it is not required for the initial request.
2. In-app deletion (optional)
- Open Muslim Bro.
- Go to Profile -> Settings -> Account -> Delete account.
- Confirm with password or verification code.
3. What happens after your email
After we receive your email, we confirm the request and may ask for a brief ownership check if needed to protect your account from fraudulent deletion requests.
4. Processing timelines
- Request acknowledgement: within 72 hours.
- Account deactivation: typically within 7 days.
- Backup purge/anonymization: up to 30 days where applicable.
5. Data removed
- Profile identifiers and account-level preferences.
- User-generated personal content and app settings.
- Activity history not required by law.
6. Data that may be retained
- Minimal billing and tax records required by law.
- Security logs retained for anti-fraud and legal defense.
7. Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not always cancel app store subscriptions. Cancel separately in Apple App Store or Google Play to avoid renewals.
